Mysore : The water level in the Cauvery basin reservoirs was slowly picking up with more rains reported in the catchment areas.
The water level at the Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir, near here, built across the river Cauvery was today stood at 89.65 ft against the maximum level of 124.80 feet. The inflow was 6,824 cusecs.
Kabini Reservoir is the reservoir in the state to reach maximum level by July but, due to poor rain in the catchments areas, water level in the reservoir has not touched maximum level.
The level reading today was 2,280.30 ft against its maximum level of 2,284 feet. The inflow was 8,503 cusecs and the outflow was just 1,080 cusecs.
The authorities expected more inflow with continuous rains in the Wynad in Kerala and the catachment areas of the reservoir.
The level at Harangi in Kodagu district was 2,850.77 ft against maximum level of 2,857 ft. The inflow was 6,302 cusecs as there was rains in the Kodagu district.
