Bangalore: The cow slaughter bill took a 180 degree turn on Tuesday, when the Karnataka Government reinstated the controversial Karnataka Cow Slaughter Prevention Bill 2010 in the assembly.
A high voltage drama in the public domain was witnessed in the assembly as the opposition protested against the reintroduction of the bill and walked out of the assembly. The bill was withdrawn only last week in the wake of the criticism that was raised from various quarters. Congress leaders had sought an explanation from the government as to why the Bill was being withdrawn.
